Sulfur deficiency affects the growth of global agriculture

Due to the global air pollution control and crop yield increse, sulfur loss and sulfur deficiency in soil is increasingly serious. There is a widespread lack of sulfur in soil around North America, India, China and Europe, which has a tremendous pressure on agricultural production.

Sulfur Deficiency

Farmers tend to use high content of NPK fertilizers to obtain high yield , and fertilizer manufacturers committed to remove other components of the NPK fertilizers to save the cost of transportation and sales, which made the sulfur from fertilizers is almost completely eliminated.

¡°If farmers find they need it, I have no doubt that sulfur fertilization will provide a good return. Both your crop and your livestock would suffer without sufficient levels of this nutrient.¡±
Dr. Jerry Jung, USDA Pasture Research Laboratory, University Park, PA

¡°In many areas, you can¡¯t maintain optimum production without sulfur. Without it, your yields will decrease and¡ªif the deficiency gets bad enough, which it will¡ªthe decrease in yield will become severe¡¡±
Dr. Fred Koehler, Washington State University
