Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP)
 
An ESP is an efficient particulate removal device, with a low equipment pressure drop (< 300 Pa) and high operation stability. It is suitable to dust removal with large flue gas flow rates, and is widely used in the flue gas treatment applications in coal-fired boilers and power plants, iron and steel industry, and metallurgical processes.
 
Particulate Removal Mechanism
 
· High voltage is applied to create an electrical field, which produces an electric corona discharge that ionizes the gas around the electrode;
· The electrons and ions contact and charge the dust particles;
· Charged dust particles move towards the collection electrode under the electrostatic force;
· Dust particles are collected on the electrode plate and are released to the hopper by the rapping system;
· The dust collected is carried out by the conveying system.
